All study programmes
General
The study programmes are organised within the three departments of Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen. Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen is providing eleven bachelor degree programmes (180 ECTS), advanced bachelor degree programmes (60-120 ECTS) and a lot of postgraduates (at least 20 ECTS). All these programmes focus strongly on the practical relevance. This practical orientation makes classes very actively and interactively.

The instruction language of all bachelor degree programmes is Dutch. Sufficient knowledge of the Dutch language is an admission requirement for all our bachelor degree programmes. Therefore, most of our programmes do offer some courses taught in English. In addition, on a central level, a 10 ECTS programme is organized. This programme consists of three courses and is compulsory for every international student.
The educational organization at KHMechelen is based upon the European Credit Transfer System (more information on the web pages of the European Commission). One credit reflects 25 up to 30 hours of study load; one full time semester is 30 ECTS. The details of most of our courses (in Dutch) can be found on the ECTS-pages of our website.
Placement possibilities
Theory and practice are both important at Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen. A student placement is a compulsory part of each study programme. Through this practical orientation, KHMechelen has developed a broad network of companies and organizations. International student will have the opportunity to use this network and to do their internship at a partner organization of KHMechelen.
